Cold pressed linseed oil is a natural oil of low viscosity. Pressed from flax plant seeds without the use of heat. Provides maximum fluidity and is particularly suitable forgrinding with pure powdered pigments in order to make oil colors. Thin with turpentine or petroleum distillate. Refined linseed oil is a pale oil which reduces the consistency, increases the gloss, slows the drying rate and increases the transparency of oil colors. Thin with turpentine or petroleum distillate. Sun thickened linseed oil is a pale, syrupy oil which increases the flow and transparency of oil colors and speeds their drying. Thin with turpentine or petroleum distillate.Stand linseed oil is a pale viscous oil that can be mixed with turpentine or white (mineral) spirit to improve the flow of the oil color. Retards drying but imparts a tough elastic finish.
