Liquitex Super Heavy Body Acrylics 8 oz. bottle phthalocyanine blue (green shade)

Super Heavy Body Acrylic is for artists looking for very heavy bodied paint to create high peak surfaces or sculptural applications with exceptionally low shrinkage. Extra thick body with high surface drag (rheology) and oil-like performance. Little to no wet-to-dry color shift. When dry, retains all brush stokes, high peaks and palette knife marks with very low shrinkage. Flexible when dry, allowing built-up surfaces to remain free of cracks and chips. Excellent for impasto (thick), "textural" and "sculptural" painting techniques. Can be used with all Liquitex Additives, Fluid and Gel Mediums, and Varnishes. Colors are formulated to dry within a satin sheen range. This reduces the problem of colors drying with different surface sheens (i.e. gloss, satin, matte, etc.) depending on pigment type. It enhances the visual clarity of the finished painting, provides a non-plastic look and eliminates unwanted glare spots. Suitable for indoor applications and outdoor applications with a sealer varnish. Water soluble when wet, dries to a water-resistant surface. No chemical drying action to prolong painting and varnishing procedure. Excellent adhesion to most painting surfaces; wood, leather, canvas, silk, plastic, mural applications, metal, paper etc. Chemically alkaline, pH neutral (archival) when dry and therefore compatible with common mural grounds such as concrete, plaster, cement, concrete block or any masonry surface. No toxic solvents or cleaners necessary. Resistant to ultra-violet light, will not yellow over time. Air-dry by evaporation. Thick paint films may take up to 3 days. Surface of a dry acrylic painting can be cleaned by gently washing with soap and water. Little odor, no fumes, nonflammable. Uses non-toxic thinners and mediums. Do not mix with turpentine or oils. Mix only with other acrylic emulsion paints or mediums.
