Hand-carved from natural aromatic red cedar, this beautifully designed perfume pen is an ideal gift for any woman. 24-karat gold plating compliments the natural material used for this piece. A firm, stable softwood, the timber of this red cedar is highly prized for its beautiful, warm, deep, rich, red color and its most distinctive, everlasting, aromatic perfume. It has numerous knots that make a handsome distinctive pattern. The knottier the wood, the better; many knots indicate an exceptionally high content of the desireable aromatic oils that produce a wonderful scent. While most artisans finish their work with a 600 grit finish, East to West Woodworks uses a multi-step finish. This includes a final sanding of 12,000 grit, leaving scratches undetectable to the human eye. All pieces are hand turned on a lathe, making no two exactly alike.
